40: How To Stay Positive

These are weird times we’re living in, aren’t they? Every day we’re bombarded with more difficult and worrying news stories, with little indication as to when any of the madness is going to end. The best thing you can do (other than stay at home, unless you’re one of our amazing key workers) is to try and maintain a positive attitude. Even if you’re usually the most positive person going, right now it’s a bit tougher than usual to do that. We’ve decided to keep it real (as usual), and chat about how difficult the past 2 weeks have been and how much everything has changed, but also share with you the tips we use to try and stay positive. Sending you all lots of love, please stay safe!

39: Increasing Your Productivity

You guys loved our episode on organisation last year so this week we’re back getting all excited about getting your shit together – productivity. As two organised worriers, we’re always looking for new ways to increase our productivity so this week we’re sharing the routines that we try to stick to and the tips we swear by to make the most out of each day. Because being busy is not the same as being productive. Just as a side note, we record all of our episodes in advance and recorded this before social distancing really started, that said, chatting about productivity (especially if you’re now working from home) seem quite timely so hopefully this is still useful and we can serve as a nice distraction from what is going on in these scary times.

Episode 38: Managing Expectations

In this episode we discuss how to manage your expectations of yourself, where you “should” be and what you “should” have already acheived. We can all be guilty of seeing ourselves big goals but there’s a difference between a stretch-target and setting yourself and unrealistic timeline for success. We’re all guilty of it though and this week we’re sharing how we’ve started to manage our own expectations a little better and not be quite so hard on yourself.

Episode 35: Getting Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Stepping outside of our comfort zones is something we both try to do on a regular basis. Sometimes it’s something smaller like joining a new club, other times it’s taking a huge career change. Whatever it is, we’ve both found that it can be so rewarding when we go outside of comfort zones that it’s something we always try to encourage other people to do too. If you’re not quite sure how to start then we’ve got plenty of ideas and advice in this episode.

Episode 31: Loneliness

We know we’re a little late and the sound quality isn’t great this week but we’re hoping you’ll forgive us as we work out our new recording logistics! This fortnight we’re discussing loneliness and why it’s ok if you feel lonely. This is a discussion usually reserved for older generations but we think it is just as relevant when you’re young too. We share some of the times when we’ve felt lonely and what we do to try and prevent it from happening.

Stir Fry Recipe

Throw some oil into a pan with garlic, spring onions, half a lime, ground coriander, some mild chili flakes and some soy/tamari sauce (only a little). Thinly slice the tofu into little pieces and fry until it’s super crispy then throw in the rest of your veg. Cook your rice noodles, drain and put them in with the veg. Make a sauce from a tablespoon or 2 of almond butter (you could probably use peanut or cashew here) with a generous glug of soy sauce and a little bit of water. Mix up and pour over the stir fry and serve.
